Videofixation of the plastic surgery made me for forming an European eyelid is combined with an insect performance and presents the metaphor of the stage of a cocoon, that is a key one in the process of transmutation of an insect with non-prestigious status into the one of VIP.

Nevertheless, however much an insect is transformed , that won’t change its biological species. However successfully the operation is implemented that won’t make me an European woman. The operation of Europeanization of eyes is one of the most popular in Asia. The project illustrates European centrism in the public moods in the post –soviet Asia which gets on paradoxically with conservative ones.

There are problems of the loss of national, identical, organic in perspective. This is a manifesto of the loss of : the essence of the nation, the essence of the specific female body, the essence of the selfidentification.

Видеофиксация сделанной мне пластической операции «по формированию европейского века» совмещена с «инсекто-перформансом» и представляет метафору «стадии кокона» - ключевую в процессе трансформации насекомого из непрестижного общественного статуса в статус-VIP.
Однако, - сколько бы насекомое ни трансформировалось, - это не изменит его биологический вид. Как бы удачно ни прошла операция, она не сделает меня «европейской» женщиной.
